Birthday Cards

Kristina Werner had a really pretty card on her blog that imitates watercoloring but instead uses Distress Inks and water. Here is my version.

First emboss the image in white.

Stamp Distress Ink in various colors onto a Ranger Non Stick Craft sheet and add water.

Use a paint brush to "paint the image" and then fill in the background.

Spray or add water droplets to the page and a cool Distress Ink effect takes place.

Here are two more Kristina Werner-inspired cards, again using Distress Inks:

My first attempt at a shaker card, which are super popular these days:

The theme on the birthday evite for a friend's 30th was black, gold, and white, so I created a birthday card using the same color scheme.

Stamping Bella stamps are so cute and fun to color...

Wedding Cards

Halloween DIY Crafts

October last year was pretty busy. With the Giants winning their third World Series in five years, orange and black in San Francisco was to be seen everywhere. I created a black and orange tutu that doubled as my Giants Half Marathon outfit and my Halloween costume. Halloween also happened to be the day of the Giants World Series parade. Though I could not be there due to rain and having to see patients that day, I still showed up to work in my orange and black.

I sent a birthday package to little Nathan, who moved to NYC for the year...

This was a cute DIY project I ended up making one night while at the home of my mother-in-law, who happened to have all the supplies just lying around. So we made a very cute Halloween wreath for free!
