I had a special request to create a wedding card that would hold a gift card, and I kept my eye out for a gift card holder die at last week's Scrapbook Expo in Anaheim. I was lucky to find this one, from Avery Elle:
The wedding invitation was all in a black, with a black satin bow, so I wanted to create something just as elegant. One of the card makers I like, Debbie Hughes, creates so many simple but elegant cards using white-on-white cardstock. So I gave it a shot.
I love being able to create a coordinating envelope with any of my cards now, thanks to the WeRMemory Keepers envelope punch board.
I brought out the calligraphy pen and ink I recently received during an Intro to Calligraphy workshop I took in Fullerton. Check out this cute little boutique's workshop schedule here. I'm still not really good at it, but I thought it was good to practice.
Here is the cute gift card holder I created using two different pieces of paper glued together and using one of the decorative edge dies that came with the set.
I stamped the center of the flowers a second time, cut them out, and stuck them on with foam squares to create additional dimension.
